Zorkul is a lake in the Tajik mountains often referred to as the “roof of the world”. Spotted by a few villages of friendly, ethnically Kyrgyz herder people, the Pamir mountains surround vast plateaus and Afghanistan looms stoically beyond. The mountains are pure rock with almost no vegetation and radiate in the rich shades of brown, ochre and orange. If you choose “Donkey dreams,” the signature pattern for the Zorkul bag, you will meet Спаси́бо [spaSEEbah] the donkey from Tajikistan staring at the birds in the sky.

Slow down and be there
Sketching on location is a way of life. A life to observe deeply, to come close with the place you explore. I created Walkit bags to make sketching easy and joyful – thus opening this beautiful journey for anyone.
When you have your tools right at hand you are more likely to sketch, and to sketch again, improve quickly in your artwork, and make sketching part of your life.

Patterns from the world
I create my patterns from memories. Each pattern holds a story - of a place, an encounter, an experience. To read each pattern’s story, click on the product page. Maybe one will speak to you!
All patterns are handprinted. This means no two Walkit bags are exactly the same - each bag is one-of-a-kind! There may be slight differences in shade compared to the photos on the website.

Two sizes to fit all
There are two sizes of the Walkit sketching bags.
The large one is approx. 25x22cm, with 28 pencil loops. Recommended for those working with a wide palette of coloured pencils, markers or crayons.
The smaller one is 18x22cm, with 19 pencil loops. This is a more invisible, minimal, lightweight version, still holding a large number of drawing utensils.

Close your bag easily
When you cut a papaya open, it is not possible to close it again. Unlike a papaya, your sketching bag comes with an elastic loop on the side, so you can fold the bag in half and secure it. This way you can put the sketching bag safely in your backpack while travelling. (Large size bags only)

Loops for easy access
There are two rows of pencil holder loops in the bags - one is in the back, for long pencils (pens, brushes, markers), and one in the front pocket for shorter ones (faithful old graphites, travelling brushes).
In each row there are a number of tighter loops (for pencils, brushes), and a few larger ones (for waterbrushes, thicker pens or markers).

Carry your Sketchbook, too
An A5 sketchbook fits into both size sketching bags.
Into the large bag you can even fit a sketchbook of A4 width, but it may be heavy to carry. It can be convenient though, while you need to pick up the phone, pay in a café, or step onto the tram.

Wear on waist or shoulder
The strap is adjustable, so you can wear your Walkit bag around the waist or over the shoulder. You can easily move around, have both hands free.
If you are tall, you have the option to select a long strap when adding Walkit bags to your shopping cart.

Pockets for everything
Walkit is a small and lightweight bag, yet rich in compartments, loops, and pockets designed to hold a wide range of your sketching, drawing, and painting utensils. Your pencils, pens, eraser, brushes, watercolor, tubes of paint, water container, ink, sketchbook - all have a tidy home here.
You can also slip your phone, keys, some cash and a cereal bar in for a truly light wander.
